Job Summary and Responsibilities:

The position of Recruitment and Retention Front Desk Assistant is the first friendly face students see when coming to our offices. The student in this position will greet each person that walks through our doors, direct traffic to the appropriate location, answer phones, and set up appointments with Student Success & Admissions staff.

Greet each student/visitor with a warm and welcoming attitude.
Provide assistance to students by listening to their requests and guiding them to the appropriate location for help
Operate multi-line phone system and answer in a friendly and professional manner
Schedule appointments for the staff in Admissions & Student Success
Contact students regarding appointment changes
Learn and answer questions about admissions, registration and advising
Respond to general office emails for both Student Success & Admissions or forward to the appropriate person
Complete various office tasks and projects such as data entry, mailings, filing, etc.
Maintain strict confidentiality; specifically while working with students and student information in various modalities

Work Environment:
Typical work environment is an office setting requiring normal safety precautions. Non-routine occasional work may be spent around the community and in local public K12 schools. Short periods of time will be spent outdoors travelling between campus buildings in various weather conditions. Frequent interaction with the public may occur (registration, scholarship applicants, Casper College employees).

Physical Demands:
Employees are regularly required to sit, speak, hear, use hands and fingers to handle materials and use computers, feel, and reach with hands and arms. Lifting of up to 25 pounds may be required (office supplies, paper boxes, etc…). Periods of walking may occur and may require carrying materials or supplies, as well as, leading tours of campus lasting two or more hours at a time. Work is usually performed during the normal workday however, early morning, late evening and weekend work may be required during periods of critical attendance.

Minimum Qualifications:

Degree-seeking student, enrolled in at least 6 credit hours at CC or a partnership institution. Eligible to receive federal work study funds (this is indicated on your financial aid award letter)

Strong good customer service
Computer proficiency and a willingness to learn new technology
Able to adapt quickly to changing student needs in a rapidly moving environment
Good communication and interpersonal skillsPrevious knowledge of campus; location of campus resources (preferred but not required)
