BOCES ACE Program at Casper College

Angel Reyes completed 15 college credits before he graduated from KWHS.

Brittney Racki took English composition as a senior while attending NCHS and received college credit.

What is it?
The BOCES Accelerated College Education Program is a joint initiative between NCSD#1 and Casper College to enable NCSD#1 students and Natrona County student residents to provide full funding for college courses through dual or concurrent enrollment.
What’s Dual and Concurrent Enrollment?
Dual enrollment courses are college courses taken by the student at Casper College. These courses are at the college, online through the college, follow the college schedule, and are taught by college instructors. Students can take any course offered at the college for credit through dual enrollment (as long as appropriate prerequisite requirements are met). Credits from these courses typically go on the student’s college transcript as subject matter credit, and on the students’ high school transcript as elective credit.
Concurrent enrollment courses are courses taught at the high school, on the high school schedule, by an accredited high school instructor, but the student may register to receive college credit (as well as high school credit) for the course. The courses offered through concurrent enrollment vary depending on the high school. Credits for these courses show up on both the student’s Casper College and high school transcript as subject matter credit.
What does BOCES pay for?
BOCES pays for all tuition and books for students. BOCES will not pay for extra materials required for courses like, scrubs, paint, etc.
How do students register for courses?
Students may register independently for courses at caspercollege.dualenroll.com. This is the online enrollment platform that BOCES students use to register as Non-Degree seeking students through the ACE Program.
*Please note enrollment through caspercollege.dualenroll.com typically closes a week before courses at Casper College start. After this time students must use a paper from to register for courses.
