Secondary Education CTE Endorsements

These specific blocks of career and technical education (CTE) classes qualify for CTE teaching endorsements through the Professional Teaching Standards Board.

If you are a licensed teacher, you can complete a set of courses to get your endorsement to teach that respective subject matter in classes at the junior, middle, and/or high school levels.

Or…

Teachers teaching under a Professional Industry Career (PIC) permit have two years of work experience and a high school diploma or GED that allows them to teach an occupational specialty. To advance your career and add additional CTE endorsements, you would first complete six classes at Casper College to be eligible for licensing as a teacher (those classes are TBD), then complete the courses within your chosen endorsement to teach at the junior, middle, and/or high school levels.

Did you know that you can enroll in certain classes once and have that credit count toward multiple endorsements?

For instance, if you want to teach woodworking, construction, and engineering graphics, a total of 43 credits will get you all three endorsements and not the total of the three areas added up independently that give the impression of 62 credits. Welding and auto body repair are not 41.5 credits as a couple classes are duplicated, so the actual amount for both endorsements is only 36 credits.

Some of the classes below may be completed through distance education or independent study. Contact Jason Eggemeyer for more information about these CTE endorsements.
