The Bo Jangles the Cat Scholarship has been established to benefit a first-generation college student majoring in a degree from the Casper College School of Science.

The scholarship, created by a Casper family and named for their beloved pet, will provide two $500 scholarships for the fall semester and two $500 scholarships for the spring semester. To qualify, students must have a 2.5 cumulative GPA or a high school 2.5 GPA if they are an entering freshman.

Recipients must be enrolled for a minimum of six college credits and have completed the Casper College online application. Preference will be given to those applicants who are a graduate of the Natrona County Upward Bound program and a traditional student.

“We want to serve students that are from underserved populations seeking an opportunity in higher education,” said the donors, adding, “Providing opportunities that have the potential to have generational impacts are important to us.”

Casper College students can apply for scholarships at caspercollege.edu/scholarship.
