Casper College biology instructor and bee expert, Will Robinson, Ph.D., will speak on the importance of bees on Tuesday, June 11, beginning at 6 p.m. in the Werner Wildlife Museum.

During his presentation titled “Plight of the Bumble Bee: How You Can Help Pollinators,” Robinson will provide an overview on the importance of pollination for both crop and wild plants and discuss the problems facing not only honey bees but the many species of wild bees from a worldwide, nationwide, and finally Wyoming-centric perspective.

Robinson will also discuss what Wyoming residents can do to improve the habitat of bees, as well as available forage and nesting sites. In addition, Robinson will show specimens of Wyoming bees and demonstrate the different types of houses Wyoming residents can provide for bees.

“Plight of the Bumble Bee: How You Can Help Pollinators” is free and open to the public. The Werner Wildlife Museum is located off the Casper College campus at 405 E. 15th Street.
