The Wyoming Supreme Court will be “On the Road” at Casper College on Thursday, March 14 beginning at 9 a.m.

The justices will be in session in Wheeler Concert Hall, and “the auditorium will become the Wyoming Supreme Court courtroom,” according to information provided by the Wyoming Supreme Court.

The two criminal cases set for oral argument for the Court’s Casper appearance are Holly Anne Herrera v. The State of Wyoming and Rebel Scott Kuebel v. The State of Wyoming. Following the live oral arguments, there will be a question and answer session with the justices.

“Oral arguments provide an opportunity for the justices to ask questions regarding the factual and legal issues presented in cases pending before them. This is an incredible opportunity for Casper College students and members of the public to observe the Wyoming Supreme Court in session,” said Heather Lloyd, criminal justice and law instructor at Casper College.

The Wyoming Supreme Court Justices attending will be Chief Justice Michael K. Davis, Justice Kate M. Fox, Justice Keith G. Kautz, Justice Lynne Boomgaarden, and Justice Kari Jo Gray.

The Wyoming Supreme Court “On the Road” at Casper College is free and open to the public. The Wheeler Concert Hall is located in the Music Building on the Casper College campus. Doors will open at 8:30 a.m. and spectators are welcome to come and go at any time.

The event is sponsored by Casper College and Williams, Porter, Day and Neville, P.C.
