The Casper College Women’s Basketball Team has signed Campbell County High School standout Maddie Hieb.

The three-year varsity player helped the Camels to two 4A State Championships. In her senior season, Hieb averaged 9.9 points and 5.8 rebounds per game, shot 38 percent from behind the 3-point arc and shot 74 percent from the free throw line.

“We are very excited that Maddie chose to continue her education and basketball career at Casper College,” said Head Coach Dwight Gunnare. Gunnare noted that Hieb’s skill set, size, and versatility will be a great asset to the Thunderbirds. “Maddie comes from a very successful high school program and knows what it takes to be successful as a player and as a team,” Gunnare added.

In addition to her stats on the floor, Hieb was a 4A All-Conference selection, was on the CCHS President’s Honor Roll all four years of high school, and was recently selected for the Wyoming-Montana All-Star basketball team.
