“Getting Stuffed” Topic of Taxidermy Talk

“Getting Stuffed: The Art of Taxidermy” is the topic for the December Werner Wildlife Study Group on Thursday, Dec. 21 beginning at 7 p.m. The event is free and open to all.

According to India Hayford, museum specialist, taxidermist Joh Stevenson is back to speak by popular demand. Stevenson, who is responsible for many of the Werner Wildlife Museum’s exhibits, including Snowflake, Casper’s albino deer, will talk about and demonstrate his art with an emphasis on tanning and care of hides.

The monthly presentations of the Werner Wildlife Study Group take place in the Werner Wildlife Museum, located off the Casper College campus at 405 E. 15th Street. For more information call the museum at 307-235-2108 or email indiahayford@caspercollege.edu.
