Rea, an author and historian, will talk about his use of the Western History Center archives in his writing and for WyoHistory.org, where he is the editor and a contributor. Rea is also the author of “Devil’s Gate: Owning the Land, Owning the Story,” winner of the 2006-07 nonfiction book award from the Wyoming State Historical Society, and “Bone Wars: The Excavation and Celebrity of Andrew Carnegie’s Dinosaur,” winner of the Western Writers of America Spur Award for contemporary nonfiction.

Rea’s presentation will begin at 4 p.m. in the classroom in the Goodstein Foundation Library. Tours of the center will follow, showing the growth of the collections housed and preserved there.

The talk, tours, and reception are free and open to the public. The Western History Center is located in the Goodstein Foundation Library, which is located on the Casper College campus.
