Virtual career fair set for May 4
A virtual career fair is set for Tuesday, May 4, from noon-4 p.m. Hosted by Casper College, the Department of Workforce Services, the Natrona County School District #1, and the Casper Area Chamber of Commerce, the virtual career fair is free and open to all.
According to Elaine Monterastelli, student success adviser, the Virtual Spring Job Fair will be 100% online. The fair is open to all students and job seekers in Casper looking for part-time, seasonal, and full-time work.
“Job seekers will be able to enter each company’s booth virtually, view the positions posted, company information, and video chat with employers who each participant can send their resume to directly,” said Monterastelli.
“Working with Casper College, the NCSD, as well as the Casper Area Chamber of Commerce is a wonderful opportunity for the Casper Workforce Center to provide job seekers another way to connect with employers. As we transition out of the pandemic, it’s important to provide Casper job seekers with options,” said Jaime Cruz, workforce specialist/business representative with the DWS. “This collaborative group came together in trying times to work out how we can safely bring people looking for work and businesses together,” added Guy Sallade, NCSD Pathways Career facilitator.
The fair will feature employment opportunities from banking, business, city, construction, food services, health care, industrial, recreation, security, and social services. Many of the position types available include food service crew, assistant managers, construction, field workers, foremen, drivers, operators, haulers, lifeguards, camp leaders, custodial, office support staff, bank tellers, security and event staff, phlebotomist, electrical apprenticeship, business interns, and much more.
