My bio

I began learning sign language as a junior in high school at my local community college. I became an interpreter for the deaf while I was still in college working both as a freelance interpreter in and around the state and at University of Wyoming. Upon graduation, I completed the Interpreter Training Program at St. Paul Technical Vocational Institute. I returned to Wyoming where I taught deaf education in: Casper at the Wyoming School for the Deaf, Laramie County Public Schools, and Platte County Public Schools for a total of 11 years. My most recent public school work has been as a teacher with English Language Learners for Natrona County (K-5th grades).

While staying home to raise my children, I started working at Casper College in 1996 as a freelance interpreter and then as an adjunct instructor of American Sign Language. I became a full time employee in the fall of 2015 and currently work as an Instructor of American Sign Language as well as a sign language interpreter on campus and maintain my work as a freelance interpreter throughout the state of Wyoming.
