The Rosenthal Outstanding Educator Awards recognize two outstanding Casper College educators each year. All full-time faculty (including supply) are eligible to compete for one of these prestigious $2,500 cash awards. The criteria are these:

1. The candidate must possess qualities of an outstanding educator.

2. The candidate must have documented participation in professional organizations and/or activities.

3. The candidate must have taken an active role in community and/or out-of-school cultural activities.

Any qualified employee of the college may nominate a candidate by submitting a formal letter of nomination to the office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs, GW 407 (self-nominations are not permitted for this award).

After the nomination period has closed, the nominees will have one week to accept or decline the nomination. Nominees who have accepted will be announced to all employees in December.

The nominees will then prepare the application form and obtain the required letters of reference. They will have until March to finalize and submit their application packet. No one may be nominated after the December deadline and only complete packets will be accepted.
