But my stuff isn’t old. Why are you interested?
The materials don’t have to be old or rare to be of interest for historical research. Any information that will help researchers to understand our Wyoming heritage is of value.
I only have one or two items. Is it worth the effort?
Definitely. A single item can often make the difference in understanding and interpreting events in the past.
What would you do with the materials that I donate?
We would:
What if I want to keep the materials in the family?
We will be happy to discuss options with you. We understand and
encourage your desire to pass your heritage on to your descendants.
One way of doing this is to make the materials publicly available, so that you and your descendants will have access to them for generations to come.
Who would use the materials?
Just about anyone, including:
What if I want to donate materials that don’t meet your collecting guidelines?
We will be happy to consult with you and make recommendations of other repositories or organizations that could help.
