The Casper College Choirs present
A Christmas Tableau

Sunday, December 8, 2013, 3 p.m.
Wheeler Concert Hall, Music Building

Zach Vreeman, choral and choir director at Casper College, is hoping to begin a new musical tradition for the holiday season with the first “Christmas Tableau” concert on Sunday, Dec. 8 at 3 p.m.

“I am looking to start something with a little tradition that will feature the singers from all four Casper College choral ensembles. This year’s concert will also include guest appearances from four musical faculty members and is structured to be a cohesive package with pieces grouped by their themes rather then performers. The concert will assemble a tableau showing Christmas from many perspectives,” noted Vreeman.

According to Vreeman, the concert will be divided into six sets with all but the first being introduced by the audience and performers singing a carol together. Some of the carols to be sung include “O Little Town of Bethlehem” and “Deck the Hall.”

Musical faculty who will be performing during the concert include soprano and voice instructor Kristen Lenth, string instructor and violinist Jennifer Cowell, woodwind instructor and clarinetist Jerome Fleg, and harp instructor and harpist Jane Hamman.

“A Christmas Tableau” will be held in the Wheeler Concert Hall located in the Music Building on the Casper College campus and is free and open to all.
