Sustainable Economics Topic of Short Class

Registrations are currently being taken for “Enough is Enough: Sustainable Economics” (OLLI 5043) at Casper College.

The class, offered through the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at Casper College will be taught by Dan Cooper on Thursday, June 29 and July 6 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. According to Cooper, class discussions will focus on whether it is possible to have prosperity without growth and what social and economic changes are required to build a sustainable economy. A growth-based economy will become unstable when it reaches environmental, population, or productivity limits, he said.
