Summer Animal House at the Werner Wildlife Museum.

The Werner Wildlife Museum will be hosting three free Animal House events for elementary-aged children during the summer months on the third Wednesday of each month.

The first Animal House will be held on June 14 and will take a look at “Animals in the Land of Summer Snow.” On July 12, children will learn about “Water Babies: Beaver, Otter, and Mink.” The series will conclude on August 9 as Audubon Naturalist Zach Hutchinson will present “A Bird in the Hand: Catch, Band, and Release.”

All presentations will begin at 1:15 p.m. and last for approximately 30 minutes, according to India Hayford, museum assistant. Each session will feature wildlife stories and activities.

Reservations for individuals are appreciated, but walk-ins are welcome. For those wishing to bring summer camp or daycare groups, reservations are required. In addition, museum staff are happy to arrange special programs for large groups. The Werner Wildlife Museum is located off the Casper College campus at 405 E. 15th Street and is open from 9 to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. For more information call the museum at 307-235-2108.
