The 71st Annual Casper College Commencement Ceremony will be held on Friday, May 12 beginning at 7 p.m. in the Casper Events Center.

Commencement speaker will be Casper College graduating student Thomas Myler. Myler was selected from a pool of six students who each presented their proposed commencement speech to a panel of nine judges consisting of college deans, student service personnel, faculty, alumni, and college students.

During his time at Casper College, Myler has been a student ambassador for the admissions office; a member of the student senate; Latter-day Saints Student Association; Campus Kitchen; Casper College chapter of the National Society of Leadership and Success, where he was the student networking team coordinator; Phi Theta Kappa; and served as an intern in U.S. Senator John Barrasso’s Casper office. He also appeared in the summer 2016 production of “Legally Blonde – The Musical!” as Kyle the UPS man and in the 2017 dance production of “Charlotte’s Web” where he appeared as Lurvy. Myler’s involvement both on campus and in the Casper Community have allowed him to show and build his leadership skills and help those who might otherwise be in need.

The commencement ceremony is free and open to the public and refreshments will be served following the ceremony.
