Deadline Approaches for Trip to France

A free informational meeting for an upcoming trip to France will be held on Wednesday, March 1 beginning at 5:30 p.m. in Room 218 of the Walter H. Nolte Gateway Center.

A 14-day trip to France, sponsored by the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at Casper College, is scheduled for October 4-17, 2017, and will feature beautiful chateaux, medieval cities, the beaches of Normandy, and Paris. Those who are interested in this trip do not need to be OLLI members.

Travelers who sign up by Thursday, April 6, will receive $100 off of the cost of the trip and lock in their airfare. The trip cost includes roundtrip airfare from Casper, hotels, transfers, and 15 meals. Organized through Collette Travel, everyone will be able to enjoy shopping, history, and unique dinner experiences in Paris and elsewhere, according to Vicki Pollock, lifelong learning specialist at Casper College.

Those who sign up for the trip will also receive three pre-trip classes to enhance their overall trip experience. Those classes include an overview of medieval Normandy and World War II D-Day invasions; an overview of the Loir Valley chateaux in central France and the Avignon area in the south of France; and a document party, survival French, etiquette, and favorite travel hacks class.
