The Casper College School of Business and Industry will be holding an open house on Friday, Jan. 29 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. to showcase the equipment and enhanced learning outcomes for the Wyoming Energy Sector Technology (WEST) Program at the school.
Casper College’s Manufacturing Technology certificate and degree programs focus on high-tech manufacturing in the areas of laser manufacturing equipment, manual and computer-aided machine tool technology, and welding.
Manufacturing tech graduates are well prepared to set up and operate laser equipment, machine tools such as lathes, mills and grinders, and specialized welding equipment to manufacture or repair precision parts and products.
This career may also include CNC programmers who write the computer program that operates automated machines. Students graduating from this program can work in small family-owned shops or at large manufacturing facilities
