Fall 2008:

Learning Communities (LCs) at Casper College

Students: Try a Learning Community this semester! LCs have many advantages.  You will benefit from having two instructors in two integrated classes. You will get to know your fellow students very well.  You will make surprising and meaningful discoveries about different topics and how they are related. These courses are designed to serve a "cohort" of students.

You will recognize Learning Communities by the Course Section numbers. Any section 90 or above indicates that STUDENTS MUST ENROLL IN BOTH COURSES.

Here are the offerings for Fall 2008:

  • Political Science - Dr. Erich Frankland
    Sociology - Dr. Chad Hanson
Dr. Erich Frankland and Dr. Chad Hanson will examine the political climate of the United States and culminate in an analysis of the results of the 2008 general election.
  • Criminal Justice - Art Washut
  • Interpersonal Communication - Teresa Wallace
  • ENGL 600, 90 Karen Moenkhaus
  • ENGL 510, 90 Darby Sawyer
  • English Language and Culture Block (Click)
This block of four courses is offered in the fall semester and is strongly recommended for all international students. Students from ethnic minorities who have limited English proficiency will also benefit from this Block.
