Job Summary and Responsibilities:
• 9hr/week Must be available Mon, Tues, & Thurs 3pm-6pm
• Serve as a positive role model for GEAR UP participants who are 7th-12th grade students
• Help tutor students in any academic area in which they are struggling, especially Math. Must have a strong background in math. Including the ability to tutor middle school and high school math
• Make appropriate referrals related to personal issues, such as relationships, bullying, substance use, suicide, family violence, etc.
• Ability to relate to and effectively communicate with middle level students and Casper College staff.
• Understanding of the skills necessary for educational success.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Demonstrate excellent skills in organization, planning, and implementation
• Work as a member of a team
Minimum Qualifications:
Degree-seeking student, enrolled in at least 6 credit hours at CC or a partnership institution. Must pass a background check.
Strong background in math and ability to tutor middle and high school students of varies levels in math.
9hr/week Must be available Mon, Tues, & Thurs 3pm-6pm
