Campus Security

Casper College has a full-time security department, which patrols the campus 24 hours per day, seven days per week. A full-time Housing Safety Officer helps to patrol and secure the residence halls and the student apartments. All the officers have security or law enforcement backgrounds. The department provides services to students such as seminars and presentations on personal safety and protection. The security department has initiated a whistle safety program for students. Casper College Center

The College Center is under the supervision of a Center Director who schedules usage of its rooms as well as the Roberts Commons. Located in the College Center are the television lounge, bookstore, student health services, recreational activity office, Student Activities Board, Expression magazine, Chinook newspaper, Peer Tutor Office, Housing Office, student government office, meeting rooms, information services and display areas that student organizations are encouraged to use.

The Casper College Bookstore, located in the College Center, is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. At the beginning of the fall, spring, and summer semesters, the bookstore is open additional evening hours to serve the students' needs.

In addition to textbooks, both new and used, the bookstore carries a large variety of paperback titles, study aids, health items, school supplies, greeting cards, and novelties.

Full refunds for unmarked, undamaged books will be made for two weeks from the beginning date of the course for which the text was purchased. Selected used books (see college bulletin boards for list) may be sold to the bookstore during the last week of each semester.

Preschool and Childcare Center

The Family Resource Center is accredited by the National Academy of Early Childhood Programs and provides early childhood education and day-care services, as well as parenting education programs, for members of the Casper College campus community.

The staff works in partnership with the children's parents to nurture and encourage children's physical, emotional, social and educational development. The FRC also serves as an educational laboratory site for students.

The FRC can accommodate 56 children, ages infant through kindergarten, and is open Fall and Spring semesters from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday when classes are in session, we are closed over the summer. Fees vary according to the child's age and are available from the FRC Director. There is a non-refundable registration fee of $20.00 per child per semester and a non-refundable $25.00 pre-payment towards child care costs. Childcare availability is based on the students'/employees' status as well as the date of submission of the application for child care services, the amount of care requested, the number of children enrolled, and the spaces available.

Student Health Service

The Casper College Student Health Service Office is maintained in the College Center where a registered nurse is in charge. One beds is available for emergency care. The services of a licensed M.D. are available free of charge to degree-seeking students one day a week for a three-hour period.

Student Insurance

Student sickness and accident insurance is offered to any student carrying six credit hours or more. Additional coverage for spouse and children is also available. This insurance plan is underwritten by Guarantee Trust Life Insurance Company.

Notary Public

A notary public is available to all students, and those who need notarized signatures for completion of official documents are encouraged to take advantage of this free service at the Accounting and Financial Management Office.
