A growing number of organizations, including educational and political entities, are calling for employees who are adaptable to the accelerated change and technological advances of a worldwide information society. The Communication Department believes that communication plays a central role in the lives of all students, regardless of major, career path, or interests.

In keeping with the mission of Casper College, the Communication Department provides a diverse education to an increasingly diverse student population. The department serves CC students College in other academic, vocational, and professional programs with skill development courses while at the same time offering advanced theory and technical training for those wishing to obtain a degree.

The University of Wyoming Casper College Center offers a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication or a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Science with Communication Emphasis.

In addition to excellent classes, the Communications department offers a variety of activities for students:

  • a nationally ranked Forensics Program affiliated with Phi Rho P, Cross-Examination Debate Association, American Forensics Association and National Parliamentary Debate Association
  • Chinook student newspaper
  • Expression magazine
  • internships at local TV and radio stations, and newspapers
  • A.A.S. Communication Skills Community Advisory Board; and Faculty Associations - Western States Communication Association, Phi Rho PI, AFA, PBA.
