What are respiratory therapists?
Respiratory Therapists are health-care specialists who evaluate, treat and care for patients with breathing disorders. Therapists work under the direction of physicians and assist in the diagnosis, treatment and management of patients with pulmonary disorders. Today's respiratory therapist works with high-tech equipment and many different types of therapies including: medical gases, ventilator support, bronchopulmonary drainage, and others in efforts to assist clients to feel better and breathe easier.
Casper College offers an Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy.
