ALGERIAN DINNER

• Foods featured at this dinner include:
  • Soup: Cool Cucumber Yogurt Soup
  • Appetizer: Cream Cheese and Shrimp Bourek in flaky pastry
  • Vegetarian: Cous Cous with Dried apricot, pistachios, golden raisins
  • Entrée: North African Spiced Kefta Beef Kabob, Harissa sauce
  • Entrée: Died b'l-Qasbour, or Algerian Chicken cooked with figs and almonds
  • Vegetarian: Khalota, or Algerian Vegetable medley
  • Bread: Khobz Eddar, or home made bread with Nigella seed Rustic French Bread
  • Dresert: Pitted Dates
  • Dresert: Cornes de Gazelles, Algerian stuffed cookie
  • Dresert: Assorted Homemade Fresh Fruit Tarts
  • Dresert: Makoud el Louse, Almond Cookies
  • Dresert: Baklava, with orange blossom water

Dinner is served to the public from 5:00 pm-6:30 p.m.
Location: Roberts Commons Cafeteria (RC)
Cost: $9.50 plus tax in advance (deadline is the Friday, April 13)
$11.00 plus tax at the door
Ages 7-12 - $7.00 plus tax
Ages 0-6 - Free

Tickets may be purchased at the Cashier on the 3rd Floor of the Gateway Building, Roberts Commons Cafeteria, and the DSL Café in Liesinger Hall, Gateway Café and Science Café. Cash is accepted at all locations, and credit cards and checks at the cafeteria and cafes.

Advanced ticket purchases are highly encouraged.

DON'T MISS: The after dinner presentation is by JP Cavigelli entitled "Crossing the Sahara twice in Algeria, 1993."

NOTE: PARKING LOT CLOSURES near Roberts Commons due to construction require diners to park near the Krampert Theatre and walk or take a shuttle vans to the cafeteria. There are some handicap spots close to the cafeteria for those with official signs (if you don't have a handicap sign, the parking ticket is $100.). Shuttle vans will operate from 4:45 pm until after the Algerian presentation. Look for the vans in the Krampert parking lots.
