  6. Under the Security tab, make sure the first three options are checked and all of the options in the "Password" section unchecked.
  7. Under the Advanced tab > Network tab, click the Clear Now button and set the Offline storage from 50 MB (default) to 0 MB.
  8. Click the OK button to close.

Why you should tune up your Firefox browser

Pop-up windows and JavaScript are used in Moodle4Me to display resources and activities. JavaScript is the coding used the HTML Editor, the option you get to format text entered in the Moodle4Me environment. the HTML Editor allows you to edit font color/size/type, align paragraphs, easyly add an ordered or bulleted list and can even spell-check the typed content.

For Moodle4Me features to work properly, your computer needs to accept "cookies".  Cookies are small pieces of text that temporarily store some information about the session.  By keeping then until you close Firefox, cookies get deleted when you close the browser completely (all Firefox windows).  The "Clear history" option removes information of sites you have visited during your session.

We do not recommend your save your password, specially of you are using a public or shared computer.

Offline storage uses files from sites you have accessed in case you switch the browser to "Offline mode".  Offline mode can run when you are viewing page static content and you are disconnected from the Internet.  The main issue is that the defaulted 50 MB can store sensitive information onto your computer, so by changing the settings, it makes your experience more secure.  Also, old data can be displayed when connected if cache has not been cleared (or emptied).
