Windows Systems
Casper College Distance Education recommends using Mozilla Firefox as your browser for Moodle4Me. To download, go to: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/personal.html.
Once installed, follow the instructions located at: http://www.caspercollege.edu/distance_ed/tuneup.html to optimize your browser. This browser will install on either Mac OS or Windows systems. Please refer to the link provided above to download the right version for your computer.

The zoom text feature can be accessed on demand by pressing the CTRL + plus and CRTL + minus keys.
Change font and background color in Firefox

Open the Mozilla Firefox browser

At the top of the browser, click the Tools menu, then click on Options
Note: If you are using version 4 and up, you will need to click on the orange Firefox button, then click on Options and then on Options within the second menu

Click on Content
- To change the default font type and size, click on the Advanced button and then make sure you select the following settings:
- "Proportional" Set to SANS SERIF -- "Size:" Set to 16 or greater
- "Serif" Leave as TIMES NEW ROMAN
- "Sans-serif" Set to one of the provided Sans Serif fonts such as ARIAL, TAHOMA, HELVETICA, VERDANA, etc.
- "Monospace:" Set to desired font or leave a Courier -- "Size:" Set to 13 or greater
- Uncheck the "Allow pages to choose their own fonts..." option
- Click the OK button
- To change the background color for all web pages
- Click the Colors button
- Click on the color box next to Text, Background, Unvisited Links, and Visited Links to select different colors for each
- Uncheck the "Allow pages to choose their own fonts..." option
- Click the OK button
- Click the OK button to close the Options window

Mac OS Systems
VoiceOver Users
Use Safari as your default browser. Note: Safari is not compatible with the HTML editor, so in any activities such as forums, essay questions, online text assignments, etc., will not give you the option to format the text.
You can also enable Universal Access for Seeing (VoiceOver, Zoom, Display), Hearing (Flash screen, Stereo/Mono sound, volume), Keyboard (Sticky and Slow Keys), Mouse/Trackpad (Mouse Keys, Speed, Cursor Size). The option is located under the system utilities and you can allow it to show on the taskbar for easy access.
