Holly was born and raised in Pennsylvania, and she moved to Casper in 2009 to accept this position at Casper College. She teaches a variety of writing and literature courses, and she is the co-director of Learning Communities. She also directs the Equality State Book Festival.

Holly was a July 2013 resident at the Jentel Foundation as a writing fellow, and she will spend June 2014 at the American Antiquarian Society as a Robert and Charlotte Baron Creative and Performing Artist and Writers Fellow, to continue work on this project.

Outside of her Casper College duties, Holly devotes her time to writing fiction and non-fiction and watching a lot of sports. Her sports-based non-fiction has appeared at The Classical, and her fiction has appeared at Memorious, Bluestem Magazine, Stymie Magazine, and others. She also enjoys baking, hiking, and knitting.

Her fondest wish is that Casper will get a minor league hockey team in the near future.
