Jean Marie Tichenor is the Program Director for the Department of Music. She is an instructor of Studio Voice, Historical Musicology and directs and does all of the musical arrangements for Casper College's newest singing group, I Cantori, The Opera Band. She holds a B.M. in Voice Performance from The University of Denver and a M.M. in Voice Performance from Colorado State University. Her post-graduate studies are in Historical Musicology at the University of California, Los Angeles and Voice Performance at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Tichenor is a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing and has performed as soloist in faculty recitals and for the Music Department and the Casper Chamber Music Society and as a soloist and lecturer for the Casper College Humanities Festival and Demorest Lecture Series. She is a frequent soloist for national memorial services and commemorative events honoring WWII U.S. Navy Veterans and serves as Secretary for the Board of Directors for the U.S.S St. Lo (formerly Midway) Association.

In her spare time, Mrs. Tichenor enjoys gardening, crafts, floral arranging, and especially playing with her grandchildren.
