Commercial Titles: Transaction Overview

Analyze the details of a commercial real estate transaction by learning about title products issued by a title company in a commercial transaction and how they differ from residential transactions. We will cover the necessity of surveys, how to successfully close transactions involving entities, zoning, how shared party walls may effect a transaction, and 1031 exchanges. Participants will gain the knowledge necessary to make informed decisions for commercial clients with their transactions. The Wyoming Real Estate Commission has approved this class for three elective credit hours.

Mortgage Lending for Realtors

Industry leaders will provide real estate licensees and office personnel with an overview of current mortgage lending regulations, underwriting guidelines by loan type, loan processing procedures, and documentation requirements for residential purchase transactions. WCDA, Who We Are and What We Do

Wyoming Community Development Authority staff will provide an overview of the services and programs WCDA provides, including first time homebuyer’s loans with down payment assistance, rehabilitation of an owner occupied property, and servicing loans they purchase. The Wyoming Real Estate Commission has approved this class for three elective credit hours.

Work Place and Personal Safety for Realtors

Learn how to address workplace and personal safety, handle difficult clients, and assess the safety of your surroundings. The skills application session covers best practices for verbal and nonverbal de-escalation of crisis and introductory steps and procedures for personal self-defense. Dress in sweats or gym gear and shoes for this session. Both sessions are required to earn the CEUs. The Wyoming Real Estate Commission has approved this class for three elective credit hours.

Wyoming Water Law for Realtors

Water rights are a critical component of property ownership and rights in Wyoming, and are becoming more important in land sales throughout this part of the country. It is important for real estate professionals to understand Wyoming water law basics to assist their clients with the purchase and sale of real estate. Participants will hear an overview of Wyoming water law and history including information about the state’s statutory and regulatory framework, the State Engineer’s Office, the Board of Control, permitting, water usage, property rights, changes, and abandonment. The Wyoming Real Estate Commission has approved this class for three elective credit hours.
