Golden Age Scholarship
Residents of Natrona County who are 60 or older when the term begins are eligible for tuition waivers for most Casper College classes through the Golden Age Scholarship program. A Golden Age Scholarship card may be obtained in the Office of Admissions and Student Records prior to or at the time of registration upon presentation of any official document attesting to the person’s age. A Golden Age Scholarship permits the person to enroll tuition-free for credit and community service (CMSV) courses. Golden Age Scholarships do NOT cover continuing education (CEU) or OLLI courses at Casper College, or costs for books, supplies, and course fees. |

To have a great dog, start training early. This class is designed specifically for puppies age 6 months to 1 year. Have a great companion dog. This class is an introduction to the beautiful art of crafting items with colorful art glass using the copper foil method. Participants will learn the basics of cutting and breaking glass. You will complete two projects: one free form or sun catcher and one small framed panel. This class is appropriate for ages 14 and older. - Intermediate Stained Glass
Prior stained glass experience is required for this class. Participants will refine techniques introduced in Stained Glass for Beginners and will work on projects that are more complex and larger. Soldering and glass cutting skills will be refined and reinforcing will be introduced. You will need to purchase your own glass, solder, and copper foil. Projects should be less than two square feet and less than 100 pieces.

- Specialty Stained Glass: Mosaic Applications
This class is an introduction to an ancient craft using modern methods. You will use a wooden 12”x18” tray on which to design a motif, set the motif with pieces of colored of glass, and grout the project. Personalize your project with shells, broken glass, China dishes, etc. brought from home. Come prepared with an idea or theme in mind for your project. Learn basic woodworking without electricity. The proper use of hand tools (handsaws, planes, chisels, etc.) will be demonstrated. Each participant will construct a small wood project. This class is for beginner and experienced knitters and crocheters. Beginning participants will learn basic stitches, how to read patterns, and complete several small projects. Experienced participants will receive assistance on individual projects. On the first night of class, knitters should bring worsted weight yarn and size 7 or 8 knitting needles. Brazilian embroidery is a beautiful three-dimensional form of embroidery. In this class you will learn how to thread the needle and tie the knot. - Introduction to Digital Photography
In this introductory class you will learn tips on purchasing a digital camera, how to email and print great photographs, and every step in between. You will learn a basic overview of photography, looking at how ISO, shutter speed, and aperture affect the photos you take, and how to use them to get the effects you want. Participants will also learn to use Photoshop and Photoshop Elements to enhance photos. A basic understanding of computers and computer terminology is required. - Yoga for Stress and Relaxation
Yoga, a science developed over 5,000 years ago in India, uses the asana, or postures, that are both relaxing and strengthening. The postures loosen the joints and stretch and irrigate the vertebrae keeping arthritis at bay and the body youthful into maturity. They promote the free flow of energy throughout the nervous system and assist in the elimination of toxins and poisons from the joints and other body parts. Yoga is aerobic in its deep diaphragmatic breathing techniques. It will help you become more mindful and in touch with your body and become calmer and focused in your daily tasks. It will help improve your mental outlook, handle stress more easily, and bring tranquility into your life. - Introduction to Digital Photography
In this introductory class you will learn tips on purchasing a digital camera, how to email and print great photographs, and every step in between. You will learn a basic overview of photography, looking at how ISO, shutter speed, and aperture affect the photos you take, and how to use them to get the effects you want. Participants will also learn to use Photoshop and Photoshop Elements to enhance photos. A basic understanding of computers and computer terminology is required. If you already have a digital camera, bring it and the user’s manual to class.

Discover your best clothing personality and color choices. We will analyze body types and the challenge of proportion problems and how to solve them. In this class, participants will explore the fascinating world of genealogy and family history research. Beginners and people with genealogy experience will enjoy this class. - Grief: Dealing with Loss
In this class, participants will discuss the phases of grief and how our brain and hearts can better deal with the loss of a loved one. Participants will learn safety planning for everyday life. Learn what criminals look for in a victim. Most of the time, victimization can be avoided with proper education and preparation. - Fly Fishing I: Techniques for Beginners
Learn to fish for trout in rivers and small streams using a fly rod. Topics covered include casting, knot tying, and selection of equipment. Students are encouraged to bring their own rods and reels to class with them.

- Fly Fishing II
This on-stream clinic is a follow up to Fly Fishing I. Participants will review casting techniques. Both group and one-on-one instruction will be provided. The class will meet on Friday, April 23 at 5 p.m. to discuss fishing location (Grey Reef area or Miracle Mile, depending on water conditions). Participants will need to provide their own equipment, waders, and transportation. If class is canceled due to inclement weather, it will be rescheduled for Saturday, May 1. All fish caught will be released. Fly Fishing I or basic casting skills and a basic understanding of nymphing techniques are a prerequisite to the class. Participants must have a current Wyoming fishing license.

- The Art of Meditation
Inner peace and happiness are states of mind, and meditation empowers us to find the inner peace and joy we seek. Learn all the basics of meditation: why meditate, how to meditate, different objects of meditation, and how to improve our meditation. Taught by Buddhist monk Kelsang Rinzin, resident teacher of Heruka Buddhist Center in Fort Collins. The class will break for lunch from 11:30 a.m.–1 p.m.

This class will examine the important social roles women played in ancient Israel. Participants will examine the female characters featured prominently in the Hebrew Bible and explore the archaeology that reveals the day-to-day lives of ordinary women. - A Brief History of the Reformation
This class will study major issues and developments in life during the Reformation Era (16th century). Examine problems of church and theology leading up to the Reformation, and trace the development of the Reformation in the Luther, Calvin, Zwingli, Knox, the Radical Reformers, and the church in England. Participants will understand the key people and movements of the Reformation Era and the religious, political, social, and economic issues and controversies of the Reformation.
