Student Senate

Leadership of the Associated Students of Casper College (ASCC) is exercised through the ASCC Student Senate. The student senate is composed of two representatives from each academic school at Casper College, two freshmen representatives, and the student body president. The student senate administers a portion of the per-credit student fees collected by the college.

Student Senate Food Pantry

In 2020, Student Senate opened a food pantry as a way to combat food insecurity among CC’s student population.  Any student can visit the food pantry (UU 409) once per week and retrieve 8 food items and 2 personal hygiene items.

For Fall 2023, the food pantry is open Mon.-Thurs., 8 a.m. -8 p.m., and Fridays 8 a.m. -5 p.m.

Donations of non-perishable food items are always accepted, and may be either dropped off at the food pantry during open hours, or may be left in the collection box outside the Student Life Office (UU 402).  Donated items must be unopened and non-expired.  Frozen items are accepted, as well as game meat (must be professionally packaged).

What does Student Senate do?

The Associated Students of Casper College (ASCC) Student Senate is the voice of the student body at Casper College. Student Senate provides oversight and support to clubs and organizations at Casper College, including financial support through per-credit student fees. Student Senate also sponsors events and initiatives like the Student Food Pantry, Thundering Through Barriers discussion series, and the annual Casino Night in April.  Finally, Student Senate advocates on behalf of the student body, communicating concerns and opinions to CC’s administration and leadership.
