Residence Hall Programming/Concept Plan
The Residence Hall planning committee is nearing completion of the Programming/Concept Plan (Phase I) work with architects AndersonMasonDale.
The three visuals include:
1) a site concept drawing showing the overall building layout;
2) view of the standard double-bed unit; and 3) possible modular layouts for the kitchen/lounges, laundry room, and handicapped room.

PHASE I - Programming & Conceptual Design (AndersonMasonDale Architects and Amundsen Associates)

  • Established program components
    • Student living spaces
      • Double bedroom with bath
      • Handicapped accessible double bedroom & bath
    • Public Spaces
      • Lobby, front desk, mail room, office, public restroom, vending, computer room, game room/ lounge, classroom/meeting room with warming kitchen
    • Support Spaces
      • Furniture/materials storage, HVAC systems, custodial storage

PHASE II – Schematic Design

  • AndersonMasonDale will develop schematic design in conjunction with Project Management firm
  • Establish cost estimates for project
  • Finalize financing plan
    • Revenue bonds, Foundation/other funds, Student costs

PHASE III – Design Development & Construction Documents

  • Contractor Procurement (Negotiated GMP)

PHASE IV – Construction

PHASE V – Move-in & Celebration!
